At Gaubazar, we are more than just a marketplace—we are a community built on shared trust, mutual respect, and local prosperity.
Every listing, every chat, and every transaction reflects the values of the people who use our platform. To keep Gaubazar safe, welcoming, and reliable for everyone across Nepal, we ask all users to follow these community guidelines.
Together, we can build a marketplace that is not only successful, but also socially responsible.
π Modern Digital Citizenship
Gaubazar is a reflection of our society.
We encourage “Sajha Biswash” — Shared Trust.
Treat every digital interaction with the same respect and honesty you would offer a guest in your home or a neighbor in your community.
Be kind, be clear, and communicate with patience.
A strong digital economy begins with respectful human behavior.

Honesty builds long-term trust and helps buyers make informed decisions.
πΈ Use Real Photos

Avoid:
- stock photos

Transparent pricing helps serious buyers respond faster and reduces unnecessary negotiation friction.
Transparent pricing is a sign of a professional seller.

π« The Don’ts: What to Avoid
π« No Spam or Duplicate Listings
One item = one listing
Posting the same ad multiple times creates clutter and reduces search quality for everyone.
π« No Keyword Stuffing
Do not use unrelated brands, misleading product names, or extra keywords to manipulate search visibility.
Listings may be deprioritized or removed.
π« No Price Baiting
Listing an item for Rs. 1, Rs. 99, or another misleading amount when the actual price is significantly higher creates frustration and wastes everyone’s time.
Let’s respect each other’s time by being transparent from the start.
π« No Prohibited Items
Strictly prohibited items include:
- illegal substances
- weapons
- wildlife products
- counterfeit goods
- unauthorized medicines
- stolen property
Please refer to our Prohibited Items Policy for the full list.
π« No Harassment or Discrimination
Nepal is a beautiful mosaic of 125+ ethnic groups and 120+ languages.
Gaubazar is a neutral and inclusive ground.
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, hate speech, threats, or harassment based on:
- caste
- religion
- ethnicity
- language
- gender
- regional background
We are one community.
π« No Misleading Links or Click Farming
Do not create listings for the sole purpose of redirecting traffic to:
- other websites
- external marketplaces
- social media groups
- click-farming pages
Such listings may be removed immediately.
π¦ Our Fair Enforcement System
To protect the community, Gaubazar follows a three-step enforcement framework.
π’ Warning
For minor mistakes such as:
- wrong category
- blurry photos
- incomplete details
our team will guide you first.
